The Biggs Family Reunion!

So how much ‘bigg’er can you get!

What a blast of a time we had, getting to meet all 100 000 or however many Biggs family members there were that attended the reunion. :)

To be honest, I’m not sure I can recall everyone’s name that I met, but of course managed to grab some photos of the event. It really was awesome to see how much people turned out, although I wasn’t able to catch everyone on camera. I just love the camaraderie in this family, and felt quite at home in between all these crazy & cool characters.

A special thanks goes out to Glendor who lead the charge for arranging everything. Of course, there were many other people involved who played a part in this event, I’m sure you all know who you are, thanks for a very fun filled family get together.

I of course took way too many photos, but here are a ‘few’ pics of the day…:) I’ll upload some more later on FB!

Toffee Apple, Anyone? Lutheran Church Festival

Lutherse Wyk Nooitgedacht – 2011, Oct 1st

Early one Saturday morning I arrived at the wedding of Paul & Naomi (photos to follow soon :) ) as the second shooter for my buddy Eugene, to photograph the groom & his family getting ready for the big day.

Only to realize I had actually showed up about 2 hours to early :) , I then decided to venture outside to explore the area, and as luck would have it there was some sort of festival going on at a church right across from the house I was waiting at :) !

So armed with my camera, I introduced myself to the pastor of the ‘Selfstandige Lutherse Kerk Nooitgedacht’ and asked if he wouldn’t mind if I took some shots of the festivities, which he was quite happy for me to do :) ! The members of the church at first seemed very guarded, but quickly warmed up once someone in the crowd shouted “Hy moet sieke van die ‘Voice’ wees”, which is a local newspaper I believe, LOL, to which I just smiled, shrugged and said, oh well, and carried on shooting these wonderful & bubbly people who were supporting the Springboks for the World Cup 2011 :) .

I do quite enjoy these little opportunities to just shoot away with my nifty fifty lens :) . The rest of course, is history…

My Love & I, Just Chilling…:)

V&A Waterfront, Primi – 2011, Dec 16

My wife and I recently popped into the V&A Waterfront, and while our little four month boy was “re-energizing” ;) , we managed to grab some quality time at Primi which I quite enjoyed.

As most of you who are already parents will know, it’s not always that easy getting to spend some time with your partner, so it’s really great when the opportunity presents itself to take a ‘time out’, even it was only for about an hour :) . So, at least for me in this season of our life, it was really nice to just chill with my lovely lady, who I after 3 and a bit years of married life still have the hots for ;) .

I’m so proud of my lovely beautiful gorgeous wife who is taking such great care of our little Micah! Honey bear, this post is dedicated to you My Love! I love you more than you will ever know, and since that first night when I saw you all the way back on the 31st Dec 1999 when I told you I would be taking you home with me, hehehe, I’m glad I made good on that promise because you truelly rock my world.

Thanks for everything you do for me, I love you (& Micah :) ) with all my heart…

How cool is our Lord, that he’s blessed me with such an awesome life with all of it’s colour, big up to you Jesus :) .
